A Path to Peace: Renew Your Body
The Apostle Paul reminds us, “Do you not know you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you” (I Corinthians 3:16). The physical body has often been neglected on the spiritual journey. Yet, it is the source of so much joy and pleasure in our lives and also frustration and pain. The body can energize us for our world or deplete us of energy. Care for our bodies, physically and relationally, is an essential part of A Path to Peace.
Relational Body: Love one another with affection; outdo one another in showing honor (Romans 12:10).
Our relationships are the primary and most intimate way for us to live and experience our journeys of faith. Worship is a central relational experience for Christians. Small groups and individual relationships are key to living more intentionally and honestly. Physical Body: Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you (I Corinthians 6:19).
God wants us to be healthy, not just for ourselves, but that we can have more energy to offer our lives to others. Taking care of your physical body is not separate from your life in Jesus, it is central.
