At Peace we gather and actively participate in worship through song, prayer, spoken word, and weekly communion. As a community we desire to learn and give thanks to God. We explore the life and words of Jesus in hopes of becoming a community that reflects him to the world around us. Worshipping at Peace reminds us To Love… God, Neighbor, Self.
*Communion is offered at all Worship Services.
**Nursery is available during all Sunday Worship Services for children ages three and under.
Come as you are. If you feel like dressing up, dress up. If you feel like being casual, be casual. God embraces us all so we strive to do the same. We don’t pretend to have it all together. We don’t expect you to either.
We have two styles, but one hope for worship: to provide a space and time where gathered communities can bring their joys and sorrows, their hopes and fears, their convictions and their questions, to God.
We serve Holy Communion at each service. Our communion policy is simple: Because we believe the Risen Jesus is the host of the meal, everyone is welcome.
Please visit our Worship Videos Page for past sermons and videos you may have missed. Sunday sermons are uploaded each week by Wednesday afternoons.
Traditional Worship (8:30; Sanctuary)
Though we follow the flow of worship that has been part of the church’s rhythm for hundreds of years and we use mostly traditional instrumentation (organ and piano), we focus our preaching on how the ancient story makes a difference in our time.
Contemporary Worship (9:45am & 11am; ConneXions Center) Now through Aug. 6 (Pet Blessing Sunday)
Our Contemporary Services take place in our ConneXions Center, our modern multi-purpose space with video projection and a stage for the band. The setting is less formal, but the preaching is the same as our traditional service.
During the summer, our 9:45am Service is held outdoors, near our Shelter House. Rain Location: ConneXions Center. (If chance if inclement weather, check Peace's Facebook page or web site, after 8am that morning, for indoor/outdoor location decision).
Our Summer services traditionally end with a Pet Blessing Sunday (9:45am Worship, final outdoor Worship) and we welcome the Fall with a special Back-to-School Blessings Sunday.
In addition to our regular weekly Sunday Services, Peace offers various special services throughout the year:
Pet Blessing Sunday - Aug. 6, 2017, 9:45am (Final outdoor Worship)
Bring your creatures great and small, for a special blessing during Worship this day.
School/Back Blessing Sunday - Aug. 20, 2017
We celebrate the beginning of Fall and the back-to-school season. Special blessings will be given for students, teachers, administrators and staffs. Students: don't forget to bring your backpack that day!
Reformation Sunday - Oct. 29, 2017
The Lutheran Reformation dates back to Oct. 31, 1517 when Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the door of All Saints' Lutheran Church in Wittenburg, Germany. Learn more about what it means.
All Saints Sunday - Nov. 5, 2017
(Sanctuary – All Services)
These services worship in remembrance and thanks to God for all saints - both dead and living. It is a day to glorify Jesus Christ, who, by his holy life and death, has made the saints holy through Baptism and faith. During these services, the congregation is invited to come forward and light candles in honor or in memory of loved ones.
Special Services are held during the Advent Season each Wednesday at 7pm in the Sanctuary.
Special Christmas Program Presented by Children's, Student & Music Ministries
Peace typically holds two special worship services as we experienced the story of Christmas through the eyes, words and music of our Children's, Student and Music Ministries. Services also included our traditional communion.***Please note: there is NO 8:30AM SERVICE this day. ***
Christmas Eve Services - Celebrate Jesus’ Birth at Peace (Times below are tentative for 2017)
